Evaluation of Visceral Fat Volume Extracted from Abdomen CT-Scan Images using Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD)

Visceral fat in the abdomen is one of leading causes many health problems. A CT-scan modality most precise examination determining visceral tissue. Still, there are obstacles. The number images produced by CT scan to be analyzed quite a lot. In this study, Computer Aided Diagnosis (CAD) system was developed using Thresholding segmentation method, feature extraction based on Gray Level Co-Occurrence Matrix (GLCM) for identifying abdominal fat. Next, Multilayer Perceptron (MLP) classification process separates area from subcutaneous area. This study uses 665 divided into 481 as training data and 184 test that has validated volume an expert radiographer. CAD performance results accuracy level with value 95.58% 88.73% data. addition, information also obtained women, which 83.71 cm 2 total 1739.8 3 .
